My name is Ty Coughlin and not so long ago I was working for a local construction company a few miles from where I lived - I was shoveling, pounding, carrying, hauling... basically I was sweating my butt off for a living. I was thousands of dollars in debt and making just a few thousand bucks a month. I felt like my life was going nowhere and in a big hurry. I was broke, tired, frustrated and had no idea how to get out of the rut I was in.
I’d see successful people driving their BMW’s and Porsche’s and I’d think “What do they have that I don’t? Do they know something I don’t?” I’d say things like, “I’m a hard worker, I’m honest, and I know that I have what it takes to be successful. I know I have so much unused potential.”
I always felt like people who were less qualified than me, were making all this money and living the lifestyle I knew I deserved. I was frustrated and burnt out at 25! I know that sounds crazy, 25-years-old and already burnt out. To be honest, I was ashamed and embarrassed at the situation I found myself in.
The truth is… I was burnt out. I had already started several of my own businesses, I had tried MLM’s a bunch of times. And now, on top of all this, I was caught up in the corporate rat-race as well! I was desperate for a change and an opportunity to put money in my pocket --immediately.
Now as I look around my home office, I see so many tapes and CD programs that I have purchased over the last few years, trying to learn the secrets. I've even tried e-books and those so called "Success Seminars." Now don't get me wrong, some of it has made me some money and some has made me nothing. Some just looks good in my library and at least I feel smarter for owning it.
The bottom line is, I spent way more money than I made. So here’s the deal. Out of all the material I have studied and seen, there is one common thread. One major part was always missing, from every single one of them. None of them ever provided a Step-by-step proven system that you could plug yourself into and immediately generate income. None of them!
Everybody claimed to have a system, but none of them really did. Of all the "systems" out there, the franchises were "supposed" to be the most profitable. They normally cost $200,000 to start (on the low-end) and only promise to make $50,000 per year. So, it would take 4 years just to pay back the initial investment.
In other words, I’d have to work 4 years for FREE. Isn’t that crazy? Plus, I don’t know many people who have an extra $200k under their sofa cushions to follow those systems. I just couldn't see why someone would want to buy themselves a JOB and deal with the headache that comes with it.
I also attempted multi-level-marketing. It seemed great at the time, it only took $45 to $200 to get started. I’d make a few bucks per sale; then one day it hit me -- I would have to recruit a small country to make any money! I did not have the energy for that!
